Do what you can, while you can.

I gave myself a nice long list of tasks in the previous post. Maybe I’ll start with computers, because it’s topical to me.

I’m building stuff at the moment. It’s an interesting time in computing. I am not smart enough to do computer science, I know that because I’ve tried. It’s not just that I’m not smart enough, I didn’t have enough supports. I had to go into construction to survive, and that took me away from computers. I grew up in the era of certification, but didn’t realise it until too late. If I had have been guided, I could have made it, but without guidance the chances were slim. I’m out of construction, I’m disabled, and I’m on my own. I’ve always liked the idea of programming, and I’ve given it a try from time to time, but as I say, I’m just not smart enough to be competent.
