In Process We Trust

Maybe it's a mood, very up and down. A little LLM insight and a decision for future posts.

Well, it happened, I jinxed myself. What was supposed to be somewhat ironic, The Slowly Sinking Brain blog title, has become more of a reality, and soon enough becoming – I predict – a sick joke. I vaguely remember writing multiple 5,000 plus word articles, or better put, wandering musings. As I survey the files, the first post I started writing May 23, and got it up online on June 10. During that time I started nine posts, created the command line blogging tool, and the static site generator, and I got it all up online. Writing really is (or was), my forte. Then something happened, or life got in the way. I had to go out and slay some dragons. Maybe it was only one. I did what had to be done – to survive. Now I’m ready to get back to writing, and I can’t.

Sure, I’m writing, but it’s different now. I have to think about where to put my fingers on the keyboard! I stop to think. I stare vacantly at the screen. I feel a dullness in my head. Thankfully, I’m becoming more accustomed to the ringing in my ear now. I hadn’t noticed it for a few lines, which is nice. I’m back to short sentences. This is how I began. I warmed up quickly and became loquacious easily enough. But now? No, I don’t see it happening again. Life got in the way. I was ready to go, and it was already too late. Thirty years late. No one ever says “better late than never” that far out.
